Marie’s Oil Gloss Varnish is a premium solution designed to protect and enhance oil paintings. It provides a durable, glossy finish that intensifies colors and adds depth to artwork. This varnish forms a protective layer against dust, dirt, and UV damage, ensuring long-lasting preservation. Easy to apply, it dries clear and non-yellowing, maintaining the integrity of your colors over time.

• High level of pigmentation provides good covering power

• Colours remain unchanged from wet to dry
• Very good lightfastness: Mont Marte Premium Oil Paints have a lightfast rating of 6 or above (equivalent to ASTM2). This means that under museum lighting conditions, the pigment will remain unchanged for 50-100 years
• Slower drying time gives you more flexibility to experiment with layering, blending and brush techniques
• Touch dry after 3-4 days (completely cures in 6-12 months)
• Finish varies across colours in the range
• Non-toxic

• Use oil paints with wooden palettes (solvents such as turpentine and white spirits may damage plastic palettes)
• Change paint consistency by adding small amounts of turpentine and linseed oil
